1.1 System Overview

        With the development of electronic, machine driving tests and the emergence of exam content such as 600 km driving experience, profound changes have taken place in the driving test training. New problems such as training content’s intentional shrink, coach’s fatigue driving and the training in the non-training sections appear correspondingly in the process of driver’s training. It also puts forward a new challenge to the driving school regulators of the department of transportation.

The key to solve these problems is to put forward tracking and supervision in training spots and driving cars in all directions. As more and more tests are dependent on the on-board trainer, it also provides new management content and supervision thoughts for driving school regulators of the department of transportation.

On the one hand, training practice can be checked randomly through the video monitoring of the training field. On the other hand, data of the driving training process can be analyzed and guided through the vehicle’s video supervision of the driving training process.

Based on the project practice towards the wireless data transmission system, video processing system and cloud services platform, Great Technology proposed “The Solution Plan of the Supervision on the Whole Link of Driving Training” through the cooperation with the Driving Management Center of Department of Transportation.

The solution depends on driving supervision platform system. It realizes the random check and inspection through front end video collection device. By extracting the data produced in the teaching process from the trainer, the process of driving instructing is evaluated and directed all-roundedin all directions and from multi-perspectives. And then the supervision blindnesses such as the less standard training process, fatigue driving are cleared, which plays an important role to improve the regulation of Driving Management Center.

The system is composed of the video device in the driving training schools, on-board trainer device, on-board cameras, cloud, and thethe software service platform of driving schools’ management center.

1.3 Core Functions

Site video: real-time monitoring the training fields inside the driving schools.

Training inspection: capturing training fields’ positions randomly or as planned.

Identification recognition: determining the identity of the instructor and student by fingerprint.

Process capture: capturing the images of the driver and the coach’s driving process randomly.

Remote calling: delivering voice notice to the driving schools in the supervision center and speaking to the coach in the cars.

Real-time positioning: displaying the vehicle’s location in real time.

Tracejectory playback: checking the driving route or checking whether there is bad teaching behavior such as illegal alarm.

Speed limitation: analyzing whether the speed goes beyond the top and bottom limitation, and giving hints.

Over-speed reminder: reminding over-speeding in segments and the over-speeding records can be viewed.

Prescribing route: analyze the deviation from the specified line and then giving hints.

Counting mileage: recording the whole mileage of practicing driving.

Recording time: recording the training time and the driving time of students.

Training analysis: analyzing the data obtained from the scene training.  

1.4 System Features

Process supervision：

? The teaching process in the training fields inside the driving school can be viewed in real time through video. Videos on teaching process can be checked randomly according to the training plan.

? The location of the training car outside the driving schools can be presented in the electric map in real-time and the video and image inside the car can be viewed.

Training analysis：

? Obtaining the information about cars, drivers, couches, total driving time, over-speed time and over-speed segment and so on.

? Analyzing the information on coaches’ fatigue driving, driving on illegal section , driving at illegal time and so on.

Guidance from the driving school：

? Reminding the coaches of illegal behavior by voice notice and informing what happens to the driving schools.

? Docking with the cloud service of traffic police department and comprehensively analyzing all the data of training process of the driving schools and proposing rectification suggestions.
